Jabra Panacast

Updated over 2 weeks ago

There are two Jabra Panacast models used by Connected North Schools:

The original Jabra Panacast is a 180-degree camera which connects to a computer by USB. In addition to the camera, a microphone and speaker is required to ensure high quality Session experiences.

Jabra PanaCast – Intelligent 180Β° Panoramic-4K Huddle Room Video Camera – Inclusive Video Conferencing Camera with Full Room Coverage, Easy to Set-Up Wide Angle Webcam for Streaming

The Jabra Panacast 50 is a all-in-one conferencing system which includes a camera, mic and speakers. The school will connect to the Zoom call on a computer and connect this camera as well as a screen (often a smartboard or projector).

Zoom will automatically detect and set the Jabra Panacast 50 as the default video

(and an audio device, if using the Panacast 50).

If Zoom does not automatically select Jabra for the video (and audio, if applicable) inputs, first unplug and replug in the USB cable from the Jabra system and Computer, then:

  1. Click on the up arrow in the top right corner of the Video button and select Jabra PanaCast

  2. If you're using a Panacast 50, also click on the up arrow in the top right corner of the Audio button and select Jabra PanaCast 50 for the Mic and Speaker
